The U.S. Department of Education just opened a Title IX investigation into the Contoocook Valley School District in Peterborough for allowing biological males into girls' restrooms and locker rooms.
The school's non-discrimination policy explicitly excludes sex. It only covers "race, religion, disability, gender identity, or relationship preference." Not sex. Not girls.
Girls complained. The school ignored them.
Assistant Secretary Kimberly Richey said it best: "Placing the burden on girls to move out of their own intimate spaces when there is a male present is not just absurd, it also discriminates against girls."
This is exactly why Rep. Lisa Mazur and House Republicans have been fighting to fix this at the state level. Your donation helps us elect more Republicans who will stand up for girls' privacy, safety, and dignity in New Hampshire schools.
Every dollar goes directly to defending and expanding our House majority.
